Rob Clarke was born in 1964 in Edmonton (Canada). At the age of 23, he moved to the United States where he graduated in 1991 from Rutgers University (New Jersey). He lives today in the Queens (New York USA). For a long time, Rob Clarke has been working as an book illustrator.  His working for children's literature did not prevent him from developing aside a completely different part of his work: gay erotic art. He started becoming famous by being published in gay magazines such as Honcho and Unzipped and exhibiting in galleries throughout the United States. Year after year, Rob Clarke has invented a whole new universe among gay artists.

"I like to think of my drawings as looking like illustrations ripped out of a book of fairy tales about the male animal. When I need inspiration I simply think back to the primal images that I imprinted on as a young gay boy - when men seemed like unfathomable, alien creatures. Over the years I've drawn a whole menagerie of gay and straight male archetypes that includes bears, trolls, dogslaves, ponyboys and gymbunnies among others.  I get great pleasure out of poking fun at the masculine ideals of gay and popular culture and I use humor to mitigate my own personal fantasies about male power being wielded and stolen", explains Rob Clarke. His work is divided in multiple formats, from traditional mediums, such as pencil pen and ink, to digital images.

Michael Kirwan was born in 1953 in New York (USA). After a quite heterosexual life (mariage and kid), he indulged himself completely in his other side, the gay one. He went to work in 1980 at the St. Marks Baths where he soon started drawing the naked men surrounding him at work.  Ten years after, in 1990, Michael decided to try self-employment, illustrating for skin rags. His work has appeared in many cult magazines such as Fresmen, torso, gent, Playguy, Sugah, Mandate, Inches, Cavalier, Honcho, Nugget…
